Dr. Charles A. Ray III
Dr. Charles A. Ray III (Charlie) attended the University of Texas in Austin, then the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, graduating in 1970. After three years of service in the U.S. Army as a dentist, he was honorably discharged with the rank of Major. He returned to a full-time clinical teaching position at the dental school. In 1974, he began his dental practice on Mason Road.
Because of his intense curiosity about things, he is always pursuing some course of learning. His post-graduate education accomplishments qualified him to receive the Mastership Award from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2007. Only 1% of all dentists practicing in the United States since 1954 have achieved this. He is recognized by these primary dental associations: the ADA, TDA, GHDS, AGD, and AACD for over 35 years of service.
He has completed an advanced two year dental cosmetics program at the UCLA dental school, and is participating in the accreditation program for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He believes creating natural smiles requires the intensive training in the latest techniques and materials that he has received.
Dr. Ray feels so blessed to have had the privilege of co-parenting five children through the Katy school system. They have blessed him and his wife with four grandsons to-date and another on the way. He participated in club racing with SCCA and the local Porsche Club for 16 years. Now his interests have turned to professional photography. The new office will include a professional-style photography studio for the benefit of capturing the new smiles of his many cosmetic make-over patients.
